Senior Product Designer · Founder
I design for people making fast decisions under pressure.
Coaching taught me how people decide under pressure. Now I design products for those moments, from enterprise platforms used by 500+ people every day to a sports app I built solo with AI.
Selected work
Outcomes first. Process behind them.
Captain: a sports team app I designed, built, and shipped solo with AI
I took Captain from a coaching problem I knew firsthand to the App Store, Google Play, and the web in five months as a team of one. AI changed what my MVP could be, and it runs inside the product too.
Read case studySaved Views: the feature that made a platform migration stick
Operations teams were being moved off a legacy system they'd used for years. I turned a failed saved-search feature into Saved Views, which let people rebuild their old workflows once and never re-enter them. It became a reason to adopt the new platform, and a shared component three apps now run on.
Read case studyKeeping freight costs in check when a vendor change broke automation
A vendor switch turned an automated freight decision into a manual one. I had two weeks to design a flow that kept planners choosing the lowest-cost carrier. They did 99% of the time, saving $100K.
Read case studyMoving the central operations team off the mainframe
Two of the central team's most time-sensitive workflows, policy exception approvals and order messages, still ran on mainframe terminals. I led design for both: one research effort, two redesigns, and a shared plan for measuring whether they protect revenue.

Each of these has a project behind it
Find the why behind the number
Saved Views had 30 uses in its lifetime. Interviews showed it wasn't unwanted, it was untrusted, and that turned a dead feature into 50x adoption.
See the proofMake the case, then get it funded
Design doesn't own the roadmap on my team. I took research and usage data to senior leadership with Product and got the rebuild prioritized.
See the proofUse defaults as strategy
Sorting carriers cheapest-first did more for freight spend than any training would have: 99% lowest-cost selection.
See the proofDecide what not to build
AI made building Captain cheap, which made saying no matter more. I skipped live scoring and payments to keep it focused.

Leadership
Design owner for two enterprise product teams
Each designer on our UX team is embedded with their own product teams. I own design end to end for two of them, each with a product owner and 5–7 engineers. I've pitched work to senior leadership, set success metrics before launch, helped bring 500+ users through a platform migration, and sit on the UX team's interview panel for new designers.
Brought AI prototyping to the whole UX team
I partnered with our software engineering director to set up a shared code repository, taught every designer on the UX team to prototype with AI, and built a team dashboard where everyone publishes their work. Every designer now uses AI prototyping on every project, and prototypes feed straight into developer handoff.
Founder. Designed, built, and shipped solo
A team management app for coaches, live on iOS, Android, and the web. I designed and built it without an engineering team, using AI, and it uses AI inside the product too.
Head Softball Coach
Ran an NAIA program: owned a $30K budget, recruited and developed 30+ athletes, and was accountable for results. My first leadership job, and where I learned to build teams.
